Dr Dale Browne
Senior engineer, E2DesignLab and AECOM Planning Design and Development

Dale has considerable expertise in the modelling of Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) measures and has provided training in the use of music, as well as contributing to its research and development, for many years.

He has been involved in projects ranging from large-scale Integrated Urban Water Management (IUWM) strategies through to the design and implementation of public recreational spaces, which provide stormwater reuse, water quality and flood control benefits. He also has experience with predicting the impacts of climate change on WSUD systems and the potential benefits of WSUD for managing peak flows.

In 2011 he completed his PhD thesis on stormwater infiltration systems for which he developed a 2D hydraulic and clogging model. He is currently overseeing the detailed design of stormwater harvesting schemes for Elsternwick and Napier Parks, intended to provide sustainable water supplies and restore degraded eco-systems.
